Hello hello~ A few months ago, I placed an order with the US branch of Angelic Pretty and finally got around to making a post about it! I ordered pieces from Angelic Pretty’s Cream Cookie Parade line.

The announcement of Cream Cookie Parade hit me hard. Because of my desire to be a circus-themed lolita, I rarely look at prints outside of this theme. In fact, the only dress I own so far that doesn’t fit this aesthetic (diamonds, carousels, cards, stripes, carnivals, tuxedos, etc) is my Angelic Pretty’s Horror Garden JSK. There’s been a lot of opposing opinions this year about Angelic Pretty’s newer releases. A lot of the criticism has been about the cuts, prints, and designs; some people even going as far to describe them as “boring.” I personally don’t get it! I’m perfectly okay with a design-oriented company trying new things and experimenting with style. Whatever Angelic Pretty made in the past already exists so what’s the point of making new stuff that looks like the old stuff? It reminds me of arguments whenever a band makes a new album. “The old stuff was better! They really sold out!” I never really thought I’d see that in Lolita fashion but I guess you experience new things every day!
I don’t consider myself to be a “Sweet” Lolita and especially not an OTT Sweet Lolita so I’m definitely liking the more mature approach Angelic Pretty has taken with their more recent cuts & prints this year. I have a few others I’ve got my eye on before the end of this year including Milky Pony Carnival, Dreamy Parfait, and Toy Circus (stock photos not yet released). As mentioned in a previous post, biscuits & cookies are a guilty pleasure theme I have in contrast with Circus. My secondary wishlist items have been SWIMMER’s biscuit bags (two which I’ve acquired along with two FLAPPER biscuit bags) and Angelic Pretty’s Melty Chocolate shoes. So when I saw Cream Cookie Parade, I instantly knew I had to have it.
Ordering
I ordered on July 21 the same time at the US release of the print. I wanted to get the Ivory OTKs as well but someone beat me to them. On top of that, the US branch did not stock any of the blouses. Since then, they’ve restocked those and I’m hoping to get them sometime before the end of the year! ^_^ In the meantime, I opted for the skirt, head-bow, and biscuit hair-clips. The package was marked shipped on July 24th and arrived July 28th!

The bow sort of resembles rabbit ears and matches the print of the skirt. It’s so cute and fluffy to wear!

I love how delicious everything looks in the print. The ice cream, the biscuits, the tea, and cookie sandwiches! I feel like there was a lot of effort made into each food design.

Even the lacing has cute spoons, forks, and knives in it!
Final Thoughts
I love everythinggg about this skirt! Honestly, it’s making me wonder if I should get the JSK or OP in pink as well! >_< I haven’t gotten the opportunity to wear it yet but I’m really looking forward to it!
Thanks for reading!
