Hello!
This past Sunday I hosted my very first lolita meetup!
To celebrate International Lolita Day, my community had a swap meet & picnic!
I was really nervous because it was my first time ever hosting a meetup and I hadn’t met most of my comm yet. On top of that, the weather forecast predicted thunderstorms for a few days. I made sure to buy tarps to put up in the picnic shelter, but fortunately despite raining in the morning, it cleared up very quickly and was sunny for the rest of the day! (*´▽`*)
One lolita brought loose tea and it was definitely one of the most refreshing experiences I’ve had in a while. Drinking fresh hot tea on a cool rainy morning was such a pleasant feeling. Another lolita brought these very delicious ice cream cone s’mores!
Because lolita has become such a large part of my life, I’ve introduced my boyfriend, Bobby, to ouji fashion. He was thoughtful enough to consider trying it out for the picnic so I made sure we took a picture together even though we didn’t exact match. It’s my dream to color coordinate something wonderful with him!
Ultimately I ended up selling 3 blouses & a pair of wristcuffs! I swapped and got a blouse, a cutsew, bloomers, black otks, and a very lovely black Innocent World JSK!
Overall, it was a massive success and I’m very thankful I got to meet my comm on such a lovely day!
Coordinate:
OP – Goodbye Alice by Maofish
Brass Barrette – Local Shop
Stockings – Offbrand
Rocking Horse Shoes – Bodyline
See you next week!
