Today I will be posting at review about Takoyaki Co!

Takoyaki Co is an online store located in Japan that specializes in selling new and used lolita dresses. Part of what compelled me to order with them was their stock and very appealing payment plan method!
The most interesting part to me is that you don’t have to go through the website to purchase or initiate a payment plan. They operate actively through Facebook as well and it was through Facebook where I was able to reserve my dress and begin the plan!

I first contacted them on March 15th with my reservation and payment plan. I wanted to pay for the dress over the course of a month, until April 15 and they gladly accepted! Starting a payment plan requires a 15% down payment and I paid that through Paypal.

So during my wait, I noticed that they starting selling items from the Sailor Moon x GU collaboration, which is absolutely to die for.

Because Takoyaki Co also doubles as a shopping service, I asked if they could check stores for me for the special collaboration pants. Because I was already starting a plan with them and they were already selling GU’s items, they did not charge me to check the stores, which would normally cost 2000 yen on top of the cost of the item. The pants unfortunately weren’t in stock but I absolutely appreciated the extra accommodation! 🙂 I instead asked if I could reserve the Artemis Bag they had in stock along with my dress and along with that, a two week extension. To do this, they required an additional down payment and I was more than happy to oblige!

Shortly after my last payment, they contacted me on 4/28 to let me know that shipping may be delayed due to it being Golden Week but I didn’t take issue with this. Because of this, I was still waiting for a shipping confirmation when my package arrived on 5/6! It was a super pleasant surprise!

My package was wrapped up very securely and I’m way more than satisfied.

The Artemis Purse is even cuter in person! I love how it feels and I think it’ll be a great addition to my regular wardrobe!

I LOVE this dress!!! It’s so cute and fits like a glove! The amount of details on this dress are unbelievable. It’s in excellent condition, can’t find a single flaw! The material is very soft and the buttons are very shiny & lovely.

For every first time customer, Takoyaki Co also gives a freebie with whatever you purchase! They sent me this very large button of a character from Show by Rock!!, which was definitely very surprising. Considering the nature of Takoyaki Co, I anticipated the freebie being some sort of lolita accessory (not necessarily related to what I ordered) so this took me a bit off guard. I don’t know much about this game/anime but I think it’s kind of cute!

Overall, this was an extremely pleasant experience. Communication was open & informative, the expectations were very clear from the beginning of the transaction. Prices were fair in my opinion. And honestly, no one can beat the convenience of a payment plan, especially when it comes to a dream dress. I would definitely order from Takoyaki Co again and possibly try out their shipping service in the future!
